GenyDL v1.2.200

GenyDL v1.2.200 — Multilingual UI and Runtime Stability

GenyDL v1.2.200 is a major quality update built on the v1.0.0 foundation. It introduces a complete Qt-based localization architecture, polished right-to-left layouts, a more capable Release Center, and broad runtime-stability improvements across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

✨ Highlights

  • Runtime language switching — change the interface language without restarting the application
  • Nine interface languages — English, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese
  • Native RTL and LTR layouts — menus, toolbars, download rows, dialogs, tables, and controls follow the active language direction
  • Locale-aware presentation — digits, dates, times, units, version labels, and plural forms update with the selected language
  • Improved Persian experience — Vazirmatn typography, Persian digits, correct half-spaces, natural terminology, and Gregorian date handling
  • Release Center redesign — clearer repository cards, aligned metadata, improved details, and a rebuilt GitHub release-asset picker
  • Safer application updates — clearer progress and error reporting plus improved checksum and signature-validation feedback
  • macOS stability fixes — avoids native-menu ImageIO crashes and reduces startup work involving Downloads and cloud file-provider locations

🌍 Localization and Layout

The interface now uses Qt Linguist translation catalogs and a dedicated runtime language manager. The selected locale is applied consistently throughout QML and C++, including backend messages and status text.

  • System-default language detection with a persistent manual override
  • Correct bidirectional behavior for mixed Persian and technical content
  • Left-to-right rendering for URLs, repository names, filenames, versions, checksums, and English release notes inside RTL pages
  • Localized numeric fields, calendar labels, relative dates, transfer sizes, speeds, and selected-item counts
  • Correct singular and plural relative-time forms in languages that require them
  • Gregorian calendar behavior retained across every interface language

📦 Release Center and Download Experience

  • Reworked repository cards with stable alignment in both list and grid views
  • Improved local/latest-version, publication-date, and last-checked metadata
  • More consistent menus, action placement, labels, badges, and toggle controls
  • Expanded application-details dialog with direction-aware descriptions and release notes
  • Rebuilt GitHub release-assets dialog with aligned columns, RTL-aware selection controls, localized sizes and counts, and clearer queue actions
  • Improved download-list alignment and direction handling for names, progress, status, units, and technical metadata

🛡️ Stability and Platform Fixes

  • Fixed a crash when opening native menus on affected macOS versions by preventing unsafe menu-icon decoding paths
  • Hardened custom combo-box popup ownership and teardown to prevent invalid popup access
  • Reduced synchronous startup and release-scanning work on macOS file-provider and Downloads paths
  • Improved close, tray, notification, and background-running behavior
  • Improved updater-helper failures, update-state reporting, and verification messages
  • Refined torrent alert handling and several download/runtime status paths

🧪 Quality and Maintenance

  • Added translation validation for completeness, placeholders, terminology, and Persian writing conventions
  • Expanded backend coverage for language catalogs and localized runtime behavior
  • Updated cross-platform packaging for macOS arm64/x86_64, Windows x64/ARM64, and Linux x86_64/ARM64
  • Preserved the C++23, Qt 6, QML, and C++ modules architecture introduced in v1.0.0
